Scammers may use urgency or pressure to trick customers into providing payment or personal information. If you receive a call or message claiming to be from the Coos Bay-North Bend Water Board and it seems suspicious, remember that:
- We will not demand immediate payments by prepaid cards, wire transfers, or other unusual methods.
- Past-due bill calls from us are computer-generated recordings and come from non-local numbers - never our office number.
- Calls from our local office (541) 267-3128, will only be for follow-up or customer-initiated inquiries.
- If you do receive a suspicious call or email - do not click any links, do not provide any information, and hang up immediately. Call us directly to verify.
