This morning the Water Board has received several water quality concerns regarding the taste and odor of the communities' drinking water.  We believe this issue to be caused by naturally occurring organic or temperature changes in the source of supply.   Water Board staff are continuing to make needed adjustments at the Pony Creek Water Treatment Plant and distribution system to resolve the issue.  The issue is believed to be fully aesthetic in nature but regulatory sampling is being conducted to ensure safe drinking water is continuing to be delivered to all customers.  All water sampling to date are within federal and state drinking water parameters.  Water Board staff will continue to monitor and resolve the issues in anticipation of this being corrected in the next 3 - 5 days.  Reports of related issues to this problem are helpful.  We encourage our customers to report any and all water quality issues to the Water Board at 541-267-3128.
