The Coos Bay-North Bend Water Board is replacing a water main on S. Empire Blvd. from Newmark Avenue to Wisconsin Avenue.  The Water Board’s contractor, Knife River Materials, is performing the work.  The project is an important infrastructure improvement that precedes the City of Coos Bay’s street enhancement project planned for spring 2016.

Work will continue on S. Empire Blvd. between Fulton and Wisconsin Avenues on Friday, October 16, and through the weekend.  Night time work is likely.  One-way traffic will be controlled by flaggers and motorists may experience wait times longer than normal, but no more than 20 minutes.

The Water Board and Knife River Materials appreciate everyone’s patience as the project nears completion.  All work should be complete by Monday, October 19.  Any questions or concerns can be directed to the Water Board at 541-267-3128.
