PRECAUTIONARY BOIL ORDER - ENGELWOOD AREA - CALIFORNIA AVENUE - MAY 11, 2016

UPDATE:  Bacteriological samples were negative and chlorine residuals normal for area affected by this week’s boil order on California Avenue and 13th street west to 22nd street at 10:00 a.m. on Friday May 13, 2016

Due to a mechanical failure and loss of pressure in the system on California Avenue in the Engelwood area, we are issuing a Precautionary Boil Order from the 1300 block of California Avenue to the top of California Avenue.

All water to be used for consumption, such as drinking and cooking, should first be boiled to kill any microbiological organisms.  Water should be brought to a rolling boil for at least one minute, and then cooled before consumption.  Please be aware that this is a precautionary measure and is limited to a specific area only.

This Precautionary Boil Order will remain in effect until further notice.  If you have any questions, please call the Water Board office during regular business hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) at 541-267-3128.
